Eric & April
We are Eric and April, and we are excited to introduce ourselves to you. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us as you make this incredibly important decision. We promise to nurture, support, and cherish your child with all our hearts. Our home will be filled with unconditional love, joy, and opportunities for them to grow and thrive. We are excited to share our passions, values, and the adventures that life has to offer.
Qualities We Admire in Each Other
Eric is incredibly thoughtful and always strives to protect his family. As a law enforcement officer, ensuring our safety and security is second nature to him. He is dedicated and vigilant in his profession, but he also has a tender side that balances his strong protective instincts. Eric often surprises April with thoughtful gestures, such as bringing her flowers or preparing a homemade dinner after she's had a long day. His ability to show love and appreciation in these small yet significant ways demonstrates his deep affection and commitment to our family.
April is family-oriented, loving, and hardworking. Her nurturing nature is evident in the way she cares for our two elderly rescue dogs and her friends' children. She takes great joy in creating a warm and supportive environment for everyone around her. April is fiercely loyal to her family and friends, always ready to lend a helping hand whenever they need something. Her dedication extends to her career as an intelligence and risk analyst, where she is always conscientious of safety and security in her line of work. This professional vigilance complements her natural inclination to protect and care for those she loves.
Together, we create a balanced partnership, each bringing our strengths and qualities to build a loving and secure home. We look forward to sharing this environment with a child, nurturing them with the same care and dedication that define our relationship.
Our Leisure Time
Together, we love taking day trips to nearby spots and trying new activities, whether it's visiting an old western town, exploring a new restaurant, touring a museum, or riding a tram up the mountains a couple of hours away. Our adventures are always filled with fun and discovery. Additionally, we are passionate about volunteering for local animal rescues, fostering older dogs until they find their forever homes. Sharing the joys of compassion for animals with a child is something we greatly look forward to. Many of our friends have a variety of animals, so riding horses or feeding pigs and chickens are experiences we hope to share with a child.
April loves hiking, both near and far, and she looks forward to taking a child to explore as many national parks as possible, showing them the wonders of nature. She also enjoys baking custom cookies in her free time for holidays, baby showers, birthdays, and other special occasions. April has a long history of volunteering for a youth organization focused on developing leadership and interests in aviation, which she has been a part of since her teenage years.
Eric enjoys playing video games, watching old movies (from action-packed ones like Rambo to comedies like The Naked Gun), and going to the gym in his free time. We believe these diverse interests and activities will create a rich and loving environment for a child, filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and have fun.
Our Cultural Heritage
Although Eric was born and raised in California, both of his parents are from Mexico. Spanish was spoken in the home and passed down to Eric and homecooked Mexican meals were always part of daily life.
April’s dad is of English/Irish descent from Northern California while her mother is from the Philippines. A blend of American and Filipino cultures has always been celebrated in the household. Since April grew up in a biracial household, American and Filipino cultures have always blended. April also grew up in a military family and was always surrounded by communities that may not be biologically or culturally related, but people she considers family. Holidays have included all kinds of food from lasagna to lumpia. It’s tradition to just make everyone’s favorite food, no matter what culture it may originate from.

Our House and Neighborhood
We live in a tucked away street in a sunny southern California neighborhood on roughly half an acre. We can get to the beach, mountains, or even desert all within a short drive. We have several fruit trees on our property including a lemon tree, orange tree, and a giant pomegranate tree that's always full of fruit. We also have a swimming pool in the back part of the yard with plenty of room where we hope to build a little mini town or additional play area.
One of our neighbors are a big sports family and even have their own batting cage for their kids who play baseball. Our other neighbor is a friendly grandmother who likes to give us tomatoes and vegetables from her garden.
The next street over is famous for Halloween and Christmas decorations, where plenty of children trick or treat and see holiday lights. There's even a Christmas tree farm half a mile away where they also grow a pumpkin patch and offer hayrides during Halloween.
We have a three bedroom and two bathroom house that is ready for a child to take over. We spend most of our time in the family room that's open to the dining area and kitchen island.
Our Extended Families
Eric has an older sister with nieces and a nephew. One of his nieces also has a lively toddler. April has an older brother and a younger sister, who both love kids and live less than a couple hours' drive from us. When friends and family are around, we love to enjoy our time with food from our cultures and a good old barbecue around the pool. We have a pretty large yard where we can break out the different lawn games. Eric's family is Mexican and April's mom is from the Philippines so there's never a holiday without homemade tacos, tamales (Eric's family makes the BEST tamales), rice, or lumpia.
We are a combination of cultures that seem to blend seamlessly with each other. Our families are excited about our adoption plan and can't wait to meet this child. Eric's parents are seasoned grandparents and heavily involved in all of their grandchildren's lives. This child with be April's parents first grandchild and they can't wait to spoil them and spend all kinds of time with them. April's dad is a retired military veteran and teacher while her mom has been a caregiver for many children over the years.
From Us to You
We are Eric and April, and we are honored that you are considering us as potential adoptive parents for your precious child. We cannot begin to imagine the circumstances that led you this decision. We can only imagine the strength and love it takes to make such a profound decision, and we deeply respect and admire you for it.
Adoption, to us, is a gift, one that we hold close to our hearts. We want to express our immense gratitude for taking the time to read our profile and learn more about us. Our home is filled with warmth, love, and laughter (sometimes silliness) shared with our two elderly rescue dogs with tons more room to grow.
We have been together for seven years and married for five, and our bond grows stronger every day. We are just a normal couple and have always wanted to grow a family, but were unable to have biological children due to unexplained infertility. After a few years of unsuccessful fertility treatments (we always thought adoption would be too costly for us), we realized our calling was adoption this entire time.
We both work in law enforcement or the security field and are proud military veterans. We have had a lot of great times in our lives and just want to add more as a family. While our jobs require a serious commitment, we believe in enjoying life to the fullest and creating fun and positive memories.
Faith and family are important to us. Our families and friends live nearby and are very involved in our lives. They are all so excited about this adoption opportunity and your child will never be short of loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. We take daily walks with our dogs and look forward to including a child in these peaceful moments.
We promise to nurture, support, and cherish your child with all our hearts. Our home will be a place of unconditional love and joy, filled with opportunities for them to grow and thrive. Your child's well-being and happiness will always be our top priority.
We are open to maintaining contact in whatever way feels most comfortable for you, whether through emails, letters, photos, or visits in the future. Sharing your story and history is essential in creating a balanced and positive environment for this child. Your involvement and connection are important, and we want to honor that in the best way possible.
Choosing us to be your child's parents would mean the world to us. We hope that you consider us, and we look forward to the journey that lies ahead. We are excited to share our lives, traditions, and the boundless love we have to give. We hope to meet you and learn more about your hopes and dreams for your child.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Eric & April
